My name is Mirabella Macias, and I live in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
I am a Registered Dietitian, nutrition professor, and migraine warrior. I’ve lived with migraine disease for 22 years. Over the years, I prided myself on the strength and resilience I gained from being a migraine warrior, but I felt I was missing something- the connection of the headache community.
This is what led me to become a headache and migraine advocate. I serve as New Mexico State Captain for Headache on the Hill and am a community leader for Shades for Migraine. I also participate in Miles for Migraine awareness walks.
My voice grows stronger the more I get involved with migraine and headache advocacy and I believe advocating is essential to the treatment plan.
I aim to contribute to The Headache Alliance’s mission to improve the quality of life for those living with a headache disorder.
